The Gift of Kwen'an'latel

This program was gifted the name "Kwen'an'latel", or "walking together" in the Cowichan language.

The sisiutl (the double-headed sea serpent) represents balance and the balance of opposites, and the medicine wheel represents holistic healing, including the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of mental health and well-being.

We would like to thank Calvin Hunt - Kwakuitl, from the village of Tsakis (Fort Rupert) for creating this icon.

This program was gifted the name "L, KI, L", and refers to "confidence and the positive feeling arising from an appreciation of one's own ability" and orginates from the SENĆOŦEN language of the WSÁNEĆ community.

Code of Ethics

All counselors abide by two Codes of Ethics, the Traditional Native Code of Ethics, as well as, the British Columbia Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics.



Grievance Policy & Appeals

The Society maintains a , Grievance Policy and Appeals Process by which a client can file a grievance, without any retaliation or barriers to services. All concerns are important to us.
